Dovedale Dash (Running)

The Dovedale Dash is a very popular cross country race, near where I grew up in the Peak District. It’s a race I first did when I was nine (finishing in the 800s!), and a bit of a family favourite – dad has done every race for the last twenty something years! I’ve long dreamed of winning it, and thought this year might be the one. Unfortunately Simon Bailey, former British and English fell running champion, made his debut in the race. I had to settle for second, just under a minute behind Simon. I’ve finished 10th (twice), 7th, 5th and now second in this race. Perhaps next year…
