Days off! (Rock climbing)

It’s a funny thing, having days off when I’m in the hills every day working. Still, the weather has remained perfect for the entire time I’ve been on Skye, so motivation levels have stayed high. First of all Dan came up for three days, two days climbing with me and then a third doing a solo traverse of the ridge completely onsight (as we drove round to Glen Brittle he asked me “so, all these hills we see here, they’re all on the ridge too?” “er, yes Dan…”). I’m going to Greenland with him in the summer so getting burned off when he was straight out of the library studying for exams was a wake up call – I’m going to go climbing at every opportunity, and have installed a finger board in the office at Skye Guides…

After a few more days working Nick Carter came up to continue the psyche. We did the great Supercharger on Neist point, then messed around trying a new route for a while, then had a great day up on Vulcan Wall on Sron na Ciche.
