Good weather + keen partners =... (Alpine climbing)

Big gap since I last posted. I’ve been having computer problems for the last month or so, now solved thankfully.

Got back from two weeks in the UK (work and Msc) for an awesome 5 day visit from my girlfriend. She’s relatively new to the mountains but 5 days of perfect weather and in the hills every day, finishing with the fantastic Cosmiques arete on the Aiguille du Midi, soon changed all that and she left a gnarly alpine veteran…

Next up was a string of keen partners and big days skiing. I don’t have any pictures as I was always the slowest so no time for photos! Then back to the climbing and a bit of steep water ice. Leanne was visiting and keen to bag some steep routes, so we nipped up Nuit Blanche on a less than perfect day – very Scottish! Then over to Cogne with Will, and a great little route called Lau Bij. By this point I was wanting to get back onto some bigger routes, so warmed up on the Modica Noury with Ross, before heading onto the Colton Brooks on the north face of the Droites.

A days rest today, working out where to go next…
